Information for visitors

Bristol Magistrates Court is a very busy court and this can often result in a long wait before your case is called.  On arrival, you will go through a security check before you make your way to the reception desk where you should give your name and the name of your solicitor who is attending for you.  You will need to find out which courtroom you are meant to attend and you should then make your way to the appropriate floor where you will find a seating area outside your courtroom.  Your solicitor will find you there for a brief consultation before your hearing.  Bristol Magistrates Court has numerous consultation rooms which may be available for your use.

On-site parking is NOT available at this court, however, there is off-site parking available nearby - try the NCP car park. There is disabled access and there are toilet facilities.  There is limited blue badge parking available at this court but you should phone this court to find out more about this.  If you have a disability and need help attending a hearing, you should contact the court or tribunal to make sure the facilities meet your specific needs or to discuss the possibility of making special arrangements. Guide dogs are welcome at this court, and Bristol Magistrates Court also has hearing loop facilities.  Baby changing facilities are also provided at this court.
