WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE AT WORCESTER MAGISTRATES COURT?

It is best if you arrive at the Worcester Magistrates Court (also known as Worcester Justice Centre) 30 minutes before your hearing time.  You will first have to go through security.  You will need to go through a security arch (remember to inform staff if you have a pace maker).  Your luggage will then be searched.  Then you should report to reception who should be able to tell you which courtroom your hearing will be taking place in.

WHAT TYPE OF CASES DOES WORCESTER MAGISTRATES COURT DEAL WITH?

Worcester Magistrates Court (also known as Worcester Justice Centre) deals with a wide variety of alleged criminal offences.  By far the most common are motoring offences.  Motoring allegations are either imprisonable or non imprisonable.  Imprisonable offences include dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, drink driving and drug driving.  Non imprisonable offences include speeding, driving with no insurance, careless driving and driving while using a mobile phone.
